Montini Bronco Football

The Home of the 6x IHSA State Champions

Montini Catholic High School held its first-ever football practice on August 24th, 1966, with 32 freshman and two coaches. After playing a freshman-only schedule that season, they moved up to the junior varsity level the next year and began playing varsity football in 1968. Since then, the program has become one of the most successful in the entire state of Illinois, with such accolades as six high-school All-Americans, two NFL draftees, 13 conference championships, and six IHSA State titles.

The purpose of this website is to chronicle the 53-year history of the Montini Catholic football program. In addition to up-to-date information on the current Broncos, you’ll find season-by-season breakdowns going all the way back to the inaugural 1966 campaign, the program’s all-time statistics leaders and record holders, and the names of some of the best to ever play football at Montini Catholic.
